Travel
We believe in reducing the carbon footprint of SWN events as much as possible, and that starts with your journey to site. We've put together a range of sustainable travel options, from public transport and lift sharing to cycling and walking. Not only will you be playing your part, but you might just make some new friends along the way!
Public Transport
Sussex: The closest train stations are Cooksbridge and Lewes, the main interchange. Buses are limited but routes 121 and 122 may get you part of the way to site.
Bedfordshire: The closest train stations are Wellingborough and Bedford. The 25 bus from Bedford Bus Station will drop you off
Please check up-to-date train and bus schedules for your best route to the site giving time to arrive and have your onward journey to the site prepared. Our events finish after the last trains/buses so returning on public transport is sadly not possible.
Cycling & Walking
Sussex: From Cooksbridge, it is an hour's walk or a 15-minute bicycle ride.
Bedfordshire: From both Wellingborough and Bedford, it’s a 3.5-hour walk or an hour’s bicycle ride.
Bikes can be safely stored on-site. Best-advised cycle and walking routes will be shared with ticket holders before the event.
TAxis
Sussex: The site is a short taxi ride from Cooksbridge (5 mins) and Lewes (10-15 mins) station. We recommend booking taxis in advance: A-Z Taxis Lewes or Lewes Taxis are both good options. When booking taxis to pick yourself up, please make sure you advise them not to drive all the way up to the farmhouse, and to wait in the car park with their engines switched off. We don't want the family living in the farmhouse having their door knocked late at night!
Bedfordshire: Information coming soon.
Please bear in mind that our finish time of 00:30 am is only approximate – if you pre-book a taxi after the event please make sure that the taxi company is aware that you may run late. We advise booking taxis for no earlier than 00:45 am and please let our team know you have this arranged.
Lift Sharing
We often find that guests are coming in cars from similar places and could easily have shared a lift. Why not make new friends and save petrol and money by registering your journey if you are in need of a ride or can offer one?
We recommend either you download the Lift Share app and log your journey on there, or use our own private Singing With Nightingales Facebook group for lift sharing. Both are great options for seeking passengers or spaces in cars.
Car Parking
All of our sites have parking, although the distance between the car park and the site varies at each location. Parking needs prior booking by selecting this add-on in the ticket window of your chosen date's event page.
