Why I'm involved
“We are nature. When we reconnect with this ancient knowledge it can provide the strength for far more meaningful action than any policymaker could craft. Singing with Nightingales prompts this remembering in spades. From sitting round the fire under the night sky listening to story and song, to walking in silence through the woods, to the most magical duet where human and more-than-human have an equal billing. The entire experience provokes, awe, reverence and love for the rest of the natural world. Plus the team are wonderful human beings and a joy to work alongside.”
Favourite Nightingale Experience
“Watching an electrical storm over the Sussex hills in silence after listening to violinist Simmy Singh’s enchanting duet with the nightingale on Beltane last year.”
